I am starting this blog from a group I orginally started on facebook, that I wanted to use as a way to help me to continue working on overcoming my problems/challenges with stress, anxiety, and depression.
I wanted to just invite my friends and people I knew to help, but over time I started getting request from people I didn't know to join. For the privacy of my friends is the many reason I decided I would start this blog for those who I don't know that may want help or information to help themselves or others they know who have concerns or problems with these things also.
The way I plan on this working, is that I will pick one area to focus on (You can make suggestions too, if you'd like) to work on. To help me I will be posting what I am working on and I'll also make events where you can participate by checking out information on the topic (on this blog these will all have to just be posts). You can make comments, ask questions, discuss concerns, share information, etc and I'll update things on the group page with new ideas or information after the event (this I shouldn't have to do on this blog).
Thanks for your help everyone.
I am going to be using information from a program by the Midwest Center called Attacking Anxiety and Depression. It's a really good program, with really great people helping you, if any of you are interested in learning more or doing it yourself. You can check out the Midwest Centers website at www.stresscenter.com. :)
The list below is a list of areas the MidWest Center found that people suffering from anxiety, depression, or even just dealing with stress have to address and work on in order to overcome and recover from the negative affects caused by stress, anxiety, and depression.
These will be the areas I am going to work on:
*Anxiety and Depression: Symptoms, Causes and Common Fears
